What do you want to be when you grow up? That is a question everyone has heard before, and like many people, I never knew what the answer was until I went to Cosmetology school. As soon as I picked up the scissors and applied my first color I knew I chose exactly what I was supposed to be doing…. bringing out the beauty in others! And I am fortunate to be celebrating my 14th year in the beauty industry.
After realizing what passion and love I had for hair I knew I had to try and master the art, so I landed here at Dpz on West, where education is the key to success! Learning from the best in the business; Jo Blackwell from Loreal Professionnel, Gerard Kierans from Surface, Bumble and Bumble, and Geno Stampora and being such a perfectionist, I’m able to give my clients looks that work best for them and their lifestyle. Being in a profession that is forever changing I’m also able to bring new haircut, color and trend ideas to my clients all year long. Short to long, dark to platinum blonde and classic to trendy, I will strive to achieve the best for you every time you sit in my chair!

One of my most cherished memories of my mom was sitting in the kitchen while she would do my hair. She was a gifted stylist and took special care to make sure her little girl always looked as pretty as possible. The time we spent together, just the two of us, had a profound impact on what I would end up doing as an adult. After she passed away, I knew that I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I enrolled in cosmetology school, and began my journey.
After joining the DPZ team, I have been fortunate enough to train with leading professionals in the industry, such as Jo Blackwell Preston of L’Oreal and Gerard Kierans of Surface. The talented instructors at L’Oreal Professional, Oribe, Surface, Bumble and Bumble, and Cadivue Smoothing Systems keep me up-to-date on the latest coloring, cutting, and styling techniques, allowing me to better serve my clients and give them the true DPZ experience.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client feel good about themselves after a transformation. Being part of their experience, from concept to completion, allows me to use my skills and continued education to keep my clients looking and feeling their best, at home and at the salon.

I am blessed to say I have been with DPZ for my entire career starting in October of 1987.
During my 26 years at DPZ I have been involved in all aspects of the business from the daily operations to utilizing my talent & creativity as a senior stylist. I cater to both women & men with a focus in speciality wrap perms & cutting.

When it came time to choose a career at 18 I was always unsure of what I wanted. All i knew is that I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. I started by working at a retirement home where I met a friend who introduced me to the world of cosmetology. I enrolled into Paul Mitchell The School Danbury and graduated in their phase two honors program. Now looking back on my journey I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Being a beautician is such a rewarding career because nothing is as gratifying than making a client feel confident and beautiful. I am excited to be apart of the DPZ team and cant wait for the opportunities that are in the future.
I have always been able to help relieve people of muscle aches, tension headaches and other physical pains. Becoming a massage therapist has been an amazing journey for me. I truly love what I do – making people feel great. Constant education and training keep me motivated to help clients find relief. Teaching them ways to continue helping themselves is part of what I do. I received a Massage Therapy License in 2014. Certified also in Reflexology, Reiki, Cupping Therapy to name a few. My goal is to help clients feel better on all levels, recover faster, and improve mobility and strength.
Krystle- Master Stylist
When making the decision on which high school to attend, I decided to enroll in the hairdressing program at Henry Abbott Technical High School. Just after my first year I fell in love with making people feel good and look beautiful. In 2006 I started working as an assistant here at Dpz on West and within 6 years I have grown from a stylist into a designer stylist with a dedicated client base. I now challenge myself to advance my education and push myself to be an even more confident and knowledgeable stylist. I find the more I mature and grow I have more passion and creativity to offer to my clients.
I have been here at DPZ for 5 years now. I have worked up to the title of Master Esthetician with extensive training in Yonka Paris skincare, as well as Glo Skin Beauty. 2 years ago I added the skill of Microblading to my list of services and now have about 500 pairs of perfect brows under my belt. I am certified in Microblading, and I am also a licensed tattoo artist in the state of CT. Makeup is another passion of mine. We use a makeup line that goes hand and hand with the skincare we use here at DPZ. Glo Skin Beauty. I love the bridal side of my job.. from meeting a bride at a consultation, or makeup trial to forming a plan to great skin, brows, and a glowing look on their big day! Services I offer include, facials, peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, brow and lash tinting, lash lifting, Microblading, makeup, body treatment, and buff and bronze sunless tanning! Come see me to look and feel like the best version of you!
I’ve had a passion for the cosmetology industry since I was a young girl. With that I’ve also loved the world of fashion. I was born and raised in Macedonia and to follow through with my passion I received a seamstress degree. This was one way to enter this industry. In the mid-90s I came to America and started to raise my family here. I always had a desire to make people feel and look their best. I followed my dream and decided to continue my education and attended Paul Mitchell the School in Danbury. This was the perfect fit! This opened the door and allowed me to do what I have always wanted to do and enabled me to blend my love of fashion with making people feel and look their best. Being a cosmetologist at Dawn’s Pizzazz has also given me the opportunity to achieve my goals in providing a better quality of life for my family and for my clients.
As a young girl, I was blessed to be around the beauty industry, as I watched my mother make people look even more beautiful than they already were. I found my passion young and I knew this wasn’t going to be my job, but something I truly cherished doing.
I graduated from Ricci’s Academy in 2009 and was ready as soon as I got my license to make people pretty! I love everything the beauty industry has to offer. I have gone to many educational classes and seminars to further my knowledge and love coming back to the salon feeling refreshed and ready to share the latest trends with my clients.
What better job is there than to make people feel good about themselves? I love meeting new people and believe I’m a great listener so I can truly give you a magical experience the first time we meet in my chair.
I have always loved anything and everything to do with hair. I can remember being a little girl and strategically placing colorful bows and ribbons in my dad’s hair as he sat patiently, pretending not to be mortified. From then on my interest in hair turned into a great love and passion for creativity and beauty. Although my life took a different turn after I graduated from high school, I eventually found a way to do what I love. After receiving my Bachelors degree in history and law, I decided to go back to school and enrolled myself in Ricci’s Academy of Cosmetology in 2010. While there, I not only received my license in cosmetology, but I also found a new love in providing services in aesthetics, such as facials, waxing and makeup.
Sometime after graduating, I joined the DPZ team as a stylist in August 2011, and as an aesthetician in March 2012. I can finally say I have found my calling in life in providing clients with a well rounded experience at DPZ, from giving them the hair of their dreams, to giving them relaxing spa services to help melt their stress away. Being at DPZ has also given me the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of educational experiences and expand my knowledge. Classes from L’Oreal Professional, Bumble and Bumble, Oribe Haircare, Hairdreams Hair Extensions, Yonka Paris, and Nova Lash have helped me to become the well-rounded stylist and aesthetician that I am today. Being a part of the DPZ family, I can truly say that I have found my calling: helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. It is a truly rewarding experience to do what I do everyday.
Hmmmm?… What would I be if I weren’t a hairdresser? Honestly, I can’t imagine. I LOVE being a stylist! It’s creative, social and there is nothing more satisfying than helping another person to look and feel their best. My personal goal is to have each person that sits in my chair feel individual, important and appreciated. I am truly grateful for all of the people who have trusted me with their hair needs and solutions over the last 24 years (and counting!) that I have been with DPZ. What is my favorite part of hairdressing, you ask? Well, some say I excel in short textured cuts! But, I love it all! I am not afraid to change my look and I’m not afraid to change yours! I am a big fan of “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” But, just say the word and I can make it lots more fun!

I started doing hair at a very young age, always helping my mother and my sisters braid their hair. I have always had a knack for hair and then I continued to follow my path, working in different salons to do anything I could do to learn the business. I finally made the decision to make my passion into my career and I’ve never been happier! I enjoy all aspects of hair and really like to push myself to create the ideal look for an individual. Now I am learning from the best industry professionals including Loreal, Kerastase and Bumble and bumble. I also have the opportunity to work different charity events with Dpz Group within the community. And as a bonus, I get to enjoy every day with the guests that sit in my chair.I look forward to meeting new people every day and thank every one of them for giving me the opportunity to take care of their hair needs.
I was fortunate to learn how to care for my hair at a very young age, by none other than Dawn. Being a long time client of the salon, hair and the beauty industry grew into a passion of mine. Since 2001 I’ve been practicing my craft and furthering my education. I have taken classes from industry leading companies, such as L’Oreal, Kerastase and Toni and Guy . While studying with L’oreal Professionnel, I was selected to become an educator with them, which I did for 5 years. I was given the opportunity to train with the best in the business. I would then share my knowledge with other salons by traveling to them and educating them on what the new trends were and any new products offered . Being an educator has transformed my career. I now have more confidence and education to offer my own clients something special in my chair. Not only can I offer my clients creative hair-dressing, but I can offer make up as a part of my finishing touch. Being a part of the DPZ family has given me a home to be myself. It allows me to balance my home life as a wife and mother to two young children, and a place to welcome my clients. I am also a volunteer for Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, providing home hair care for their patients.
I can’t remember wanting to do anything else other than having a career in the beauty industry.” I have been a nail technician since 1991 and in 2000 I left the industry to start my family. I now have 2 teenage kids. Since 2014 I’ve been back at DPZ, I continue doing nails and, in 2016 I’ve expanded my beauty career and, became a makeup artist. I love what I do, and doing it at a place that I call home makes this career, that much more than just a career.
Not everyone can say why they ended up in the career that they practice. But my sister’s passing inspired my passion for caring for people and enriching their lives through beauty. I have now been a stylist for 23 years and my love of the industry stills inspires me to this day. I specialize in texture and excel in all color techniques and finish work. Over the years I have been fortunate to study with the industry’s best including L’Oreal Professionnel, Aveda, Graham Webb and many more. My love of learning and education brought me to Paul Mitchell, The School as an instructor for 6 years.
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but Danbury is where I have called home for the last 30 years. Being the mother of 2 boys is what keeps me busy out of the salon and brings great joy to my life! I am so happy to be in an industry that allows me to be creative and nurturing and I am so excited to be back at Dpz!
I have been drawn to this industry ever since I can remember. I’ve been a stylist since 2005 and have worked at DPZ since 2006. I’ve been fortunate enough to have received extensive training with some of the top stylists and educators in the country, I continue to attend educational classes with L’Oreal Professional, Bumble & bumble, and Kerastase, keeping me up to date with the latest products, trends and newest looks to bring to my clients.
My strongest talent is creating natural looking hair color. Depending on the look, I will foil highlight or free paint with balayage, followed by a customized haircut and a polished finish. I love making hair move and flow. I’m very comfortable working with all different hair textures and lengths. I enjoy creative upwork and formal styling which enables me to cater to brides, bridal parties and any other special event you might be going to.
I love transforming someone’s look, or simply tweaking and adding polish to a style. It’s amazing having the ability to turn someone’s day around and make them feel confident, happy and beautiful. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I love what I do! Hope to see you at DPZ On West soon!
I’ve always LOVED hair and naturally felt it was the best way to express myself. As far back as I can remember I experimented with fun styles, always convincing my little sister to sit still while I did her hair and makeup when we were kids. I love being artistic and working with my hands, pair that with making people happy and you have my dream job. The decision to become a hairstylist 8 years ago as was the best thing I’ve ever done. Every day is filled with fun and I’ve met some really amazing people along the way. I have a passion for coloring and love to do fun trendy haircuts! Come see me at DPZ West so I can help make you feel your BEST!
Stefani- Junior Stylist
After 40+ years on earth, the one thing I have NEVER second guessed was my desire to touch people’s lives through their hair! Early memories of going to the salon with my mom; the smells, sights, and sounds all captured my imagination and sparked my creativity. Not all of the experiences were positive though…bleach and perms of the late 80’s and 90’s led to a few challenges—all of them leading to the stylist I am today. Thanks to the high standards of the DPZ team, and Dawn’s dedication to education and creativity,I have over 20 years experience doing what I love. It is a pleasure on a daily basis to bring together the gifts God has given me, spiritually, personally, and professionally, to every person I service behind the chair.
My name is Tiffany and I was born and raised in Danbury, CT. Dawn’s Pizzazz has been a part of my life since I was just a little girl, from helping out on the floor to becoming a receptionist at the front desk, and now as I start my career as a nail technician in our spa. My mother Francine has been a nail technician at Dawn’s Pizzazz since Dawn opened her first salon almost 28 years ago, so you can say I have learned from one of the best! My mom has been an inspiration to me in so many ways and I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love and to be able to share it with one of the most important people in my life. I love working at Dpz because of the family environment we share, it is truly something special. I love to make people happy and look and feel good, what better way than to be pampered and relaxed in the spa at dpz? I have always been told to do something you love and you will never work a day in your life… well it’s great to be able to be doing just that!
