I was fortunate to learn how to care for my hair at a very young age, by none other than Dawn. Being a long time client of the salon, hair and the beauty industry grew into a passion of mine. Since 2001 I've been practicing my craft and furthering my education. I have taken classes from industry leading companies, such as L'Oreal, Kerastase and Toni and Guy . While studying with L'oreal Professionnel, I was selected to become an educator with them, which I did for 5 years. I was given the opportunity to train with the best in the business. I would then share my knowledge with other salons by traveling to them and educating them on what the new trends were and any new products offered . Being an educator has transformed my career. I now have more confidence and education to offer my own clients something special in my chair. Not only can I offer my clients creative hair-dressing, but I can offer make up as a part of my finishing touch. Being a part of the DPZ family has given me a home to be myself. It allows me to balance my home life as a wife and mother to two young children, and a place to welcome my clients. I am also a volunteer for Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, providing home hair care for their patients.
